《中国之星》是一档由灿星制作公司、东方卫视、中国音协录音艺术与唱片学会、美国国家录音艺术与科学学院联合呈现的大型国际音乐交流节目，按照国际评审模式与评审流程严格出品，是一次大规模、高规格的音乐交流盛会，不仅在亚太地区前无仅有，也标志着中国文化在国际舞台上的大力拓展。
China Star is large-scale, pop music TV show, which produced by Starry Production, in partnership with Dragon TV, China Recording Association(CRA), and The Recording Academy®. This large-scale, high-standard televised event is strictly followed the international evaluation model and review process,which is not only an unprecedented event in Asia pacific region, but also marks a strong expansion of Chinese culture in the world.

近年来，荧屏上的音乐真人秀节目并不少见，这些节目为中国音乐市场人才的选拔创造了“入口”，但“中国文化的对外展现与输出”始终是中国文艺工作者所努力的目标。《中国之星》活动正是着眼于此，为优秀的中国音乐人提供获得国际关注的机会，通过打造国际音乐文化交流的平台，让中国顶尖音乐人走向世界，让国际舞台了解并熟知中国文化的实力。《中国之星》在评审制度和评审团成员等各方面都体现着中西合璧的态度，除了引进格莱美奖“报送、审查、入围、提名、决选”的标准化评选程序和多轮投票的制度，活动还组织由中国音协录音艺术与唱片学会与美国国家录音艺术与科学学院构成的中美联合专业评审团全程参与、共同评选，通过该活动树立华语音乐的新标杆。同时，活动采取了“大师推荐制”，由华语乐坛的旗帜代表性人物―刘欢、林忆莲、崔健三位联合担任“巨星推荐人”，为活动保驾。
In recent years, music TV talent shows are not uncommon and have created an entrance for Chinese music talents into the domestic pop music market. However, the export of Chinese culture has always been the goal of Chinese TV producers as well. The China Star addresses this need by providing an outlet for outstanding Chinese musicians to receive international attention and introduce them to the world by building a platform for international music and cultural exchange. The judging system and the composition of the judging panel of China Star also reflects an ‘east meets west’ model. In addition to the introduction of a GRAMMY-inspired selection process and multiple-round voting system (nomination, review, shortlist and runoff selection), an international judging panel will be formed, with judges from China Recording Association and The Recording Academy, to establish a new benchmark for pop music in China. At the same time, the master recommendation will also be taken in this event. Chinese first-line music producers, Liu Huan, Sandy lam,and Cui Jian will be named as the Superstar Referee to recommend Chinese top music stars.

经过十二场比拼，最终孙楠夺得《中国之星》电视节目冠军，同时获得由中国音协录音艺术与唱片学会颁发的2015中国音协录音艺术与唱片学会奖最佳表现类年度大奖，直通由美国国家录音艺术与科学学院主席尼尔·波特诺先生亲自授予的“主席荣誉奖”。“主席荣誉奖”是录音学院颁出的尊贵荣誉，获奖者都是各领域当之无愧的杰出人物。录音学院主席尼尔·波特诺先生曾将该奖项授予Kenny Burrell，郎朗，Loretta Lynn, Mstislav Rostropovich 及Neil Young等著名艺术家。
After 12 competitions, Sun nan, recommended by Liu Huan won the champion of China Star and also ranked first in competition with the other four candidates. He finally got The President’s Merit Award, presented by Neil Portnow, the President and CEO of The Recording Academy. The President’s Merit Award is a respected honor by The Recording Academy. Recipients are some of the most established and outstanding figures in their areas. Neil Portnow, the President and CEO of The Recording Academy, has given this award to renowned artists such as Kenny Burrell, Lang Lang, Loretta Lynn, Mstislav Rostropovich, and Neil Young.
尼尔·波特诺先生向孙楠颁发“主席荣誉奖”
2月11日，孙楠在第58届格莱美向中国致敬主题活动上从美国国家录音学会主席尼尔·波特诺先生手中接过了“主席荣誉奖”，代表中国流行音乐通向世界舞台。领奖时孙楠激动的表示要让世界听到中国流行音乐，并相信中美艺术文化未来会有更多合作交流的机会，《中国之星》只是一个序幕，中国流行音乐将与世界音乐更紧密地联系在一起。
In February 11th, Mr. Sun Nan came to Los Angeles, presented The President’s Merit Award by Neil Portnow and showing the strength of Chinese music. He was so excited when receiving the award, indicating that more and more Chinese music would be heard by the world, and there were more chances for culture communicating between America and China. He said China Star was just a start, Chinese music would get closer to the international music.
